EUGENE, Mo. (June 9, 2026) – After two rounds of stroke-play qualifying at Redfield Golf & Country Club, the fields are set for match play at the 26th Missouri Junior Match Play Championship. The top 16 boys and top 16 girls advanced to bracket play following 36 holes of qualifying competition.
Boys Division
The boys’ division featured one of the most exciting finishes of the qualifying rounds as Landon Barks of Poplar Bluff and Hudson Shy of Saint Charles shared medalist honors at 9-under-par 135.
Playing together in the final group, Barks and Shy battled throughout the day in a head-to-head showdown for the top seed. Barks opened the championship with a 66 before adding a 69 in the second round, while Shy followed his opening-round 67 with a 68 to match Barks at the top of the leaderboard.
Harper Elliott of Nixa and Anson Munzlinger of Columbia tied for third at 6-under-par 138, while Hayes McIntosh of Lee’s Summit rounded out the top five at 5-under-par 139.
The final match play position was secured at 3-over-par 147.

Girls Division
In the girls’ division, Betsy Mitchell of Kansas City earned medalist honors after posting the only under-par total of the championship. Mitchell followed an opening-round 71 with a second-round 70 to finish at 3-under-par 141 and claim the No. 1 seed heading into match play.
Lisa Xiaowen Zhang of Saint Louis and Anna Bell of Poplar Bluff shared second place at even-par, while Addie Swan of Lee’s Summit finished fourth at 1-over-par. Alexi Omillian of Kansas City rounded out the top five at 6-over-par.
The girls’ division saw the final qualifying position decided at 26-over-par as the top 16 players advanced to match play competition.
